Who We Are
Career Services Network — Home of My Family First
Career Services Network has been helping people build stronger skills, stronger careers, and stronger futures since 1997. Over the years, we’ve trained both program participants and professional teams, partnering with more than 50 Indigenous communities across the United States. Our work has supported WIOA, TANF, Vocational Rehabilitation, workforce development, and other government and community programs serving individuals and families who face barriers to opportunity, including rehabilitation programs, justice-involved individuals, and people rebuilding their lives after incarceration.
No matter the setting, our goal has always been the same: give people practical tools they can actually use to move forward.
My Family First is a natural extension of that work, nearly three decades of helping people learn, grow, solve everyday challenges, and thrive.

Our Story
A Community Born from Heart and Purpose
My Family First began with one simple conversation. During one of Katreena’s training workshops, a participant told her she wished she could get a monthly “Katreena fix”, a chance to reconnect, learn something useful, ask questions, and get a little encouragement for whatever life might bring next. That comment sparked an idea: nine monthly Zoom gatherings where people could join, learn, check in, and talk about family, work, life, and what comes next. Katreena first imagined it just for Career Services Network clients.
Then her son Seth asked a simple question: “If you’re going to help one woman stretch her food budget, why not help all of them?”
And just like that, the idea grew. My Family First became more than a webinar series, it became a membership community designed to make practical information, useful resources, encouragement, and connection available to families everywhere.
